To make your visit to MIC, whether you are joining a guided tour, workshop or exploring independently, enjoyable, educational and safe for everyone, please keep the following recommendations in mind.

Before your visit

  • Prepare the children for the visit. Talk to them beforehand about the museum rules and the type of activities they will be taking part in.
  • Let us know about any specific requirements your group may have, including accessibility needs, allergies or anything else that could help us prepare for your visit. You can simply reply to your booking confirmation email.
  • Please let us know as early as possible if you are running late or need to change or cancel your visit, so we can adjust the programme and resources accordingly.

During your visit

  • Accompanying adults are responsible for supervising the children throughout the visit and activities.
  • Please help children follow the museum rules, and make sure everyone in the group follows the instructions given by MIC staff.
  • Please use all materials and equipment carefully, following the instructions provided and only for their intended purpose.
  • We encourage active participation and respectful interaction with other visitors and participants.
  • Please do not run or take part in activities that could put anyone’s safety at risk.

Photography & media

  • Photography is permitted during the visit.
  • Please make sure you have any permissions required by your school, kindergarten or organisation before photographing children in the group.
  • Please take photographs without interrupting activities or affecting the experience of other visitors.
