An interactive museum born from the energy of Timișoara, a city shaped by firsts, innovation and freedom.
MIC is a new kind of interactive museum, inspired by the energy of Timișoara, a city known for invention, pioneering ideas and freedom.
Through installations inspired by the city’s past, present and future, children are encouraged to discover, touch, test and learn through play. Mechanics, sensors, projections and hands-on interaction bring science, art and curiosity together in every experience.
Children, families, educators and school groups can explore 400 m² inside one of the last surviving bastions of Timișoara’s former fortress. The installations and objects invite visitors to discover the city’s past, present and future.

MIC was created by Visit Timișoara with the support of the City of Timișoara and the Timișoara Centre for Projects, together with private partners who help the museum grow.
Visit Timișoara is the city’s official destination management organisation, promoting Timișoara in Romania and abroad and bringing together what the city has best to offer. It was established at the initiative of the City of Timișoara together with founding members HORETIM, the Tourist Guides Association and Iulius Town.
Our mission goes beyond attracting visitors and promoting the city’s cultural life. We also work to position Timișoara as an attractive place for investment, innovation, research, international institutions and highly skilled talent.
We promote Timișoara as a vibrant urban destination: open, creative and connected, and a city for people who want to visit, invest, work or build something here.
